A man of many talents and wore many hats. Besides Maverick (which WB has a death grip over on copyright) Nichols(which he stated was one of his favorite shows), and of course, Rockford Files.
The thing I like him best in were comedy. His
"Support Your Local-" were the funniest things I had seen in a long time. The films were written by, and directed by Burt Kennedy who wrote some of the scripts for Maverick.

Support your local Sheriff is one of the funniest movies I've seen. Garner is just trying to get to Australia.

My hubby and I use a scene from this movie quite a bit when we make a mistake.

Prudence: "DAMN DAMN DAMN!!"
Prudence's father: "Prudence!!"
Prudence: "You shut up, too!"

Meatpies!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So good to hear from you again. :+)
That is one of my favorites as well. I like the scene where he is explaining to Bruce Dern (who was arrested by him) that since the jail is not completed yet, Dern has to stay on the other side of the cell because the bars for the cell will be here in about a week.
